What We're Reading About: 8 Aperol Cocktails
The weekend is almost here, so we started pouring cocktails a little early here at Duvin HQ. This week we're testing out 8 new Aperol recipes from our friends at VinePair. To our surprise, there's more than one way to make an Aperol Spritz... our top choice is The Division Bell. Cruise a few of our favorites below and have a day!

The Aperol Sour:
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Aperol
- ½ ounce gin
- ¾ ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- 1 egg white
- Garnish: lemon twist
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously for at least one minute.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
The Aperol Negroni:
Ingredients
- 1 ounce gin
- 1 ounce Aperol
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- Garnish: orange twist
Directions
- Add ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
- Garnish with orange twist.
The Michael:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces gin
- 3/4 ounces Aperol
- 3/4 ounces blanc vermouth
- 1 dash of orange bitters
- Garnish: grapefruit twist
Directions
- Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass.
- Stir and pour into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
The Ten Shot:
Ingredients
- 1 ½ ounces gin
- ½ ounce Aperol
- ½ ounce grapefruit juice
- ½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled.
- Strain into a Champagne flute and serve.
The Pineapple Jungle Bird:
Ingredients
- 1.5 ounces cognac
- ½ ounce Aperol
- 1 tablespoon pineapple marmalade
- 1 ounce pineapple juice
- 1 ounce lime juice
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake hard to combine and chill ingredients
- Fine strain into a coupe glass
- Garnish with pineapple crown and edible flowers
The PaperPlane Cocktail:
Ingredients
- ¾ ounce bourbon
- ¾ ounce Aperol
- ¾ ounce Amaro Nonino
- ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions
- Add ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until cold.
- Strain into a coupe glass.
The Division Bell:
Ingredients
- 1 ounce mezcal, like Del Maguey Vida
- ¾ ounce Aperol
- ¼ ounce Luxardo
- ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- Garnish: grapefruit twist
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Express with grapefruit and then discard the twist.
The Bird of Paradise:
Ingredients
- 1 ounce overproof rum
- 1 ounce Aperol
- 1 ounce pineapple juice
- ½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- ¼ ounce simple syrup
- Garnish: pineapple leaf
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake for 30 seconds.
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
- Garnish with pineapple leaf.
